John Glenn

Originally a poor but happy musician, John has had roles in financial, project and logistical management for a variety of government, non-profit and private entities.

He was Operations Manager of Sydney Symphony, GM of Sydney’s State Theatre, and GM of the Venue Management Association (Asia and Pacific). John was Executive Producer – Venue Utilisation at Queensland Performing Arts Centre before returning to his hometown in the role of Executive Producer – Adelaide Cabaret Festival and Commercial Ventures from 2014-2017.

John then returned to Queensland Performing Arts Centre in the role of Director – Programming.  Following a stint as Chief Operating Officer of GWB Entertainment touring major musicals, John decided to create Dowling Street Productions to pursue his passion of helping emerging and established artists create new work, and quickly started doing many projects with Peta Spurling-Brown from Hey Boss.

So here we are….!

In his spare time John is Chair of the industry advocacy organisation Music SA, advocating for emerging musicians in South Australia which feels like a nice tip of the hat to where he started.
